CROWDS: OCT. 14 :: 2:28 :: 11/26/07 This film was made for an assignment titled, aptly, "memory." Memory is often used as a plot tool in movies; the 'flashback' is a prime example, as I used in Redemption. The human mind, however, is much more complex than the typical flashback format is able to express. This piece is an exploration of an alternate way to present memory. The screen is split into four frames, each with an independent image, some literal and some metaphorical. Generally speaking, the film represents a memory of a day, with the frames rotating to show movement through time, space, and thought. Due to the format of the work, watching the highest quality file is recommended. |
