Described during production as an 'indie-genre-parody-homage,' Henry Taplin is... just that. Henry Taplin is a shy-but-cool college student looking for love. With the help of Johnson Chapel, his mature and manly friend, Henry hopes to woo the heart of young Valentine Fayerweather, a hip indie girl whose forward flirtatiousness threatens to bring Henry out of his shell. Will Henry go to the party? Will Valentine be there for him? Only the music knows.
This project was a collaboration with the Amherst Film Collective, an Amherst College film production club co-chaired by Alex. Though small in story, Henry Taplin features more actors and extras than any of our other projects, some nifty animations, and a few other 'firsts' that you'll just have to figure out for yourself.
