RAINY DAY :: Trivia!
  • The idea for the plot came when we were planning to film the last segment of The Hit, but were rained out of our plans, thus trapping us inside.
  • The short was filmed in Alex's house in Seattle.
  • Much of the short was improvised on site--see the "Production Notes" for more details.
  • There are many references to Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange in the film, including the use of a flippant voiceover, the long shot before Connor descends to the basement and the use of the old Ludwig Van Beethoven for the final scene.
  • The notable sound effects were made by using a drill and a hammer on a watermelon and a piece of raw chicken.
  • Many more outdoor rain shots were planned, but cut due to lack of rain--in Seattle, no less!
