RAINY DAY :: Trivia!
- The idea for the plot came when we were planning to film the last segment of The Hit,
but were rained out of our plans, thus trapping us inside.
- The short was filmed in Alex's house in Seattle.
- Much of the short was improvised on site--see the "Production Notes" for more details.
- There are many references to Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange in the film, including the
use of a flippant voiceover, the long shot before Connor descends to the basement and the use of the old Ludwig Van Beethoven
for the final scene.
- The notable sound effects were made by using a drill and a hammer on a watermelon and a piece of
raw chicken.
- Many more outdoor rain shots were planned, but cut due to lack of rain--in Seattle, no less!
