THE HIT :: Trivia!
- From conception to completion, this film took roughly three months. The actual time spent
working was probably only about two to three weeks, but constant difficulties assembling the large
cast and getting the weather to cooperate proved a daunting foe.
- The movie was filmed in several locations around Seattle. The opening scene is in Holly's Cafe on lower Queen Anne,
the opening credits were filmed on Queen Anne Avenue, the Western-themed scene was filmed in Discovery Park, and the final scene
was filmed at Gasworks Park.
- The original script called for the final fight to be outdoors, but weather forced us into an indoor environment.
- Underneath the pictures of each of the members of the hit squad are various realistic documents printed from the internet. Some examples include
Israeli visas, French arrest warrants, Japanese tax forms, and American police records.
- In Michael Chan's picture in the opening scene, he can be seen eating Phad Thai rather amusingly.
- Roughly 4 liters of blood was made and used in filming, but only a small portion actually made it into the final cut.
- Due to bad sound pickup, almost every sound (including footsteps, clothes rustling, chairs moving, and more) was recorded
seperately and added in post production.
- The weapon sound effects are from the game Counter-Strike. Most of the gore sound effects are from the game House of the Dead 2.
- All of the characters have the same name as the actors.
- While all of the other characters have complete "costumes," Case still wears his traditional Chaco sandals. They can be seen prominently in the
cliff scene.
- While the movie was almost entirely conceived as a vessel for absurd blood effects, hardly any of the effects filmed actually
made it into the final cut, due to massive technical difficulties with our squib system.
- Alex's "neck brace" is actually two shin guards (from soccer) paperclipped together. We feel it turned out pretty poorly, but
it's hard to find a good neck brace when you need one...
